Last night on Futurhythm I played a mix comprised of almost all V Recordings tunes from ’95-2002, with a couple Urban Takeover classics to close things up – fun little 35 min mix that should take some of the old schoolers back to the mid-school, or the real old schoolers up to the relatively new school :)

In other news, for the Serato users out there, I discovered a handy bit of functionality last night (and this may be common knowledge, but whatever, I got excited about it). So, I’m generally extremely paranoid about showing up to play and finding my portable HD is toast (finding my Serato db folder corrupt one time was enough to instill within me certain neuroticism for all future gigs), and I’ve been looking for a good way to back up my crates for a night on a mem stick to bring longside the HD – well, I plugged in the mem stick, created a folder for each crate I wanted to save, dragged the files from Serato into the right folders, then made new crates in Serato and dragged the files back from the memstick… lo and behold, they kept their order! So, had no clue it was that easy to back things up – I recommend it.
